Maureen was born and spent her formative years in a tiny little town in Central North Dakota. Surrounded by farmland and the drought stricken prairie of the 1980’s, she learned to “use what you’ve got”, share bikes with her five older siblings, and make her own fun. Her elementary and high school years took her Western North Dakota, God’s Country, where she met the kindest, hardest working people who worked dairy farms and ranches. Her chosen career as a Physical Therapist brought her to the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks where she has lived and worked for 3 decades. She is married to Wayne of Riley’s Landscape and Irrigation. Much of her knowledge has been through osmosis and gardening at her beloved Victorian home in the Historical Riverside Park Neighborhood. Her florals, produce and unique pieces are locally sourced and created by many hands and hearts.

In her “free” time, Maureen spends time with her husband and two children, Jillian and Luke, her glorious dog, Willow, and her fiercely loyal friends. She looks forward to serving her community by sharing her garden with others
